Lutein is one of 600 known naturally occurring carotenoids. Like other carotenoids, xanthophyll’s are found mostly in the leaves of green plants, where they act to modulate light energy and possibly serve as a non-photochemical agent to deal with chlorophyll. It is related to beta-carotene and vitamin A, which are a part of the other division of xanthophyll’s that is formed by the carotenes. Lutein is found concentrated in a small area of the retina responsible for central vision called the macula. This natural concentration of lutein in the macula helps keep the eyes safe from oxidative stress and the high-energy photons of blue light (it functions as a light filter, protecting the eye tissues from sunlight damage). Research has shown a direct relationship exists between pigmentation in the eye and lutein intake. As such, an increase in macula pigmentation decreases the risk of eye diseases such as macular degeneration, as has been shown by several studies.

I wish someone had told me about this product years ago. I suffer chronic, repeating anemia. Being a female, 47 yrs old with all the hormonal and body changes that go along with moving right along into mid life, I needed something like this. I have no other health ailments to explain the anemia, except the heavy, heavy menstrual flow. After reading the other reviews on here, I was determined to try this product, I'm glad I did. I was scheduled for an IV Iron infusion if my iron didn't show improvement within 3 weeks, while waiting for that I made changes, including trying the "SLOW FLOW" during my cycle. I believe it has made all the difference, game changer. My hematologist was interested in this product, looking it up during our visit. He had never heard of it, but was not against my using it. It won't surprise me to find he has researched it further, I'll know at our next visit.

Did this over a weekend, plus it needs about a week before you can use the tub safely. I knew this product smelled and had vapors and hoo boy did it ever! Had the bathroom window open and a house exhaust fan on, which saved the day. Bought this, some nitrile gloves, the recommended wet/dry sandpaper, and the nicest varnish brush they had. I didn't pour it out of the can to apply, I just dipped the brush in. You'll want no larger than a 2 1/2" varnish brush. I had a 3" because I thought it'd be easier and it barely fit and later had some issues with bristles bending on the side.

Amazing book! My daughter studied from book before and after taking the Kaplan review class. It helped her review for her exam, she flowed through the book while we were on vacation and finished most of it before we left. It definitely eased her anxiety!

I don't know about you, but I can no longer get checkbook registers from my bank unless I want to pay $10.00 for 3. Are you kidding me. Prices are up but that is ridiculous. I now have more than enough registers for a couple years and didn't nearly pay what I would have paid the bank. They came in record time and I would buy again.
