  • Zach woods - Massive Acne Breakouts after Using

I'll be honest in saying I did not love this. Although it may have made my beard softer, it also caused me to breakout out with acne. Even after washing it out thoroughly the night before, the next morning I would always have new breakout spots all over my face. Seems misleading considering the product advertises itself as "helps acne".

  • Tired of Defrag - PCMatic not a useful tool

I've been using PCMatic for nearly three years now, and for the most part, saw a few, minimal benefits such as eliminating junk files, craplets, registry fixes, and anti-viral scans. An ongoing problem that PC Pitstop won't acknowledge is the time it takes to download the signature file--the anti-virus database. When it starts to load, the dialog box says it will take a long time to load the first time, but after that it will be quick. Even though I've complained, it ALWAYS takes a long time to download. I am on HughesNet and if I run PCMatic in the evening--when millions of other users are contending for bandwidth--it can take upwards of an hour to download the signature file. I was willing to put up with this, but now some tech-weenie has decided to help out by updating applications that I don't use and would like to get rid of, such as Quick Time and Adobe Air. Worse, the last time I ran it (4/24/13) PCMatic disabled my PrintScrn key, so I couldn't do a screen capture into Photoshop. The online forums were of absolutely no help, since they all seem to concentrate on laptops. Luckily, I was able to do a System Restore and regain the PrintScrn key functionality. (Nothing, of course, will regain the three hours I took to figure out the problem--I didn't make the association with PCMatic at first, but then a light bulb went on.) Another annoying feature, but not a showstopper is that when the list of options comes up, it overlays what appears to be another web page, making the options almost unreadable. I am sending a copy of this Amazon review to PCPitstop in hopes of getting their attention this time, but in the meantime, I will not run it again until they fix it. The downside outweighs the benefits. [Spybot seems to work pretty well, but I'm like the guy who wrote about the magic rocks and the tigers--I haven't had a virus (I think) in years, but maybe I'm either lucky or don't know my machine is sick. Ha!!] As far as making my machine run faster--the main reason I signed up in the first place--I've never seen any improvement. Could it be that a slow machine is just a slow machine?

  • E. Aguilar - Pretty Good!

Pretty good check register. Fits any standard size check wallet. The only draw back is that the columns for check # and date are somewhat small. Other than that, I would recommend this product.

  • Sheila - Beware, the first episode of Season Seven, it's not for the faint of heart. Children might be disturbed by this episode.

If I could give this season's first episode a zero rating, I would have. It was horrifying, demented, hellish, and disturbed, and it depressed and upset me so badly, that I wanted to climb into bed and stay. I've been depressed and unhappy, prone to crying and shaking off and on, since watching the first episode of season seven. I feel bad and sick to my stomach. I hated and despised this episode. I haven't seen anything that is that barbaric, and inhumane, or that tore my heart out, leaving me feeling hollow, empty, hopeless, and desolute, since being required to watch real images of the German Holocaust and of the concentration camps shortly after the Americans liberated them, that was shown in high school to accompany the book, Anne Frank's Diary".

  • bookworm - prefer a desk copy

Previous editions had puzzles and other things on the back. Disappointed that with the conversion to kindle that was dropped from both editions, but still enjoy the cartoons

  • Frank W. MacLean - Out of Reach

Like most, we have been MS Office users for many years, and have always upgraded both our business and home systems with new releases as they came out, and were always willing to pay the somewhat reasonable upgrade pricing. MS Office 2010 is a whole differant story, and simply out of reach for us. We can not aford the prices they are asking. Since we are running Office 2007 Small Business Addition, and need/want Publisher, and Business Contact Manager, we would not only have to pay full price for replacement (not upgrade) software, but would have to move up to the Professional version at $499, rather than the $279 we paid to upgrade last time around, or almost double the price. I do not know what we will do in the future. We are very concerned as to the direction the software industry is going. Very little value added, but at a very high price. Hopefully this time they have shot themselves in the foot.
