  • Endurance and other testaments to human courage - Endurance and other testaments to human courage

Endurance is one of the most incredible stories of human courare and perseverance on record. For those who enjoyed Endurance you should also read "The Last Antartic Heroes" - It is the story of what happened to Aurora, the boat sent by Shackleton to lay depots on the other side of the Antarctic for Shackletons' trans-continnental crossing which never eventuated. Like the Endurance part of the expedition, the boat was lost, this time with most of their provisions, yet they were bound to try to complete the mission (by laying the depots) so that Shackleton and his men would not starve to death when they came accross the continent.

  • Mario Persona - Disapointment

After using Avira por many years I decided to purchase Bitdefender. Now my computers are very slow, even with Bitdefender working with most of the security options off. The only computer that is ok is the one running the free version, so I suppose I'll have to choose the free version for all the others or go back to Avira. Bitdefender does not only slows down my machines (it uses a lot of resources) but also has an impact on Internet browsing. I feel like someone who, tired of being robbed, decides to live in a prison cell to feel safe. :(

  • Luanne - Vivo Facial Peeling

I have been using the facial peel and daytime moisturizer for a month. Now I just read a review that someone did not think the Vivo facial peel was removing dead skin. Well here is my perception. I am 54 years old and have rosacea and back heads and thickening skin cells, and everything I use irritates my skin and I am out in the desert sun a lot. Right now I have used Arbonne sunscreen for about 6 months and like it. Other sunscreens seem like they burn my skin. But my main concern is that I have dozens of deep set black heads. There is no point in putting on makeup because my pours just drink it up or it runs off my face in this heat. I started using the Vivo facial peel every 4 days and at first the facial peel seemed to be irritating my skin, reddening it, but I used the moisturizer to heal and nourish and I kept using it. Now my skin seems to be more tolerant, less reddening, less oily and behold black heads are coming out easily. My skin is smooth and silky, and I can't wait for day four to come around so I get to use the product again. I think most of these products are more effective when used on dry skin not wet skin. At this point I don't care what it is doing, it works and is accomplishing what I need. I love the Butter cream, and the Sea Salt Polisher for my arms and sun damaged body areas like the area just below the neck. I hope to be able to remove some wrinkles that come with age and sun damage, but even then the facial peel and day time moisturizer does not irritate my skin and I will definitely be buying it from Amazon. The reviews about the salesman are right on. BEWARE, they know how to smooth talk and flatter you like no other man can and they talk 90 mph and I flat had to get rude just to get away from them. I'm a cowgirl and frankly their smooth talk is a line of bull........!

  • Ira Ellenbogen - Just what the (battery) doctor ordered.

We have an active 5 year old at home who has battery operated toys seemingly everywhere. When Robome arrived it required C-size batteries instead of the ubiquitous AA's. Faced with about $1.50 a battery, we "invested" in this and some Energizer recharge NiMh. It is truly a universal charger working with AAA, AA, C, D and 9V. And dependable energizer quality is a plus. The only minus is it uses a power brick instead of having a built in cord. But maybe that's good as it can be replaced...

  • C. D. Herter - Best workout for a serious cycler

I've owned this machine for 5 years. I've had to tighten a few bolts here and there, but it's solid, and the mag resistance unit provides plenty of sweat. It did take a while to master, but I started with the thing in the middle of a door frame; after 6 or so months of regular use, the frame wasn't necessary. I also have a Kurt Kinetic trainer that's great, but I get a much better workout on the rollers. I also have to add that these particular rollers are built with flared cylinders; as your tires drift to one side or the other, you'll hear the rubber squeak in plenty of time to prevent a fall. It's also quiet, compared with the standard trainer. If you don't mind the idea of taking a few weeks to get your bearings, this will provide an experience as close to outdoor riding as you can get in your basement. You are, after all, really riding, using all your muscles and wits to keep upright and forward moving. Make sure you have a fan going, wear a sweat band, open the window. One last thing; the most difficult part for me was adapting to watching TV; it's difficult, at first, to keep to the center of the cylinders while watching any moving thing. I nearly went the my wall watching Indiana Jones early on.

  • Dave t - Great SUV

Just got it last week. Awesom car. Traded a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. No comparison. We bought the Limmited with all the toys. I think this will be the best SUV we have ever had. All the reports like KBB trash it for horsepower with the 4 cyl.. How fast do you need to go? Rather have the gas mileage.
